 In Spring 2025, husband and wife team Katie and James turned a long-held dream into reality with the opening of The Orange Peel – right in the heart of Cleckheaton.

Having spent years working in hospitality and entertainment, the couple knew exactly what they wanted to create: a modern, welcoming bar with great music, a vibrant atmosphere, and a budget-friendly approach that doesn’t compromise on quality. The result is a space where locals and visitors alike can relax, unwind, and enjoy everything from Friday night karaoke to chilled-out weekend drinks.

With its stylish interior, community-focused spirit, and warm personal touch, The Orange Peel is more than just a bar – it’s a place where memories are made.

James – Co-Owner & Entertainment Lead

James began his journey in the world of nightlife at none other than the legendary Frontier in Batley – a venue famous for its energy, music, and good times. It was there he discovered his passion for great drinks, great tunes, and even greater nights out. At The Orange Peel, James is all about curating that same feel-good vibe with music, themed events, and a well-stocked bar.

Together, Katie and James have created a modern, friendly space where locals and newcomers alike can enjoy top-quality drinks, great entertainment, and a warm, down-to-earth welcome.
